NZAGA Annual General Meeting – 25 August 2026

The 45th Annual General Meeting of the NZ Avocado Growers’ Association Inc. will be held at 2.30pm on Tuesday 25 August, 2026. The AGM will be a combination of a virtual and in-person event. For those attending in-person, the AGM will be held at the Club Mount 45-47 Kawaka Street, Mount Maunganui 3116. For those attending virtually, a webinar link will be sent to all those who register, a week before the AGM. We look forward to seeing you in person and online.

The day will begin at 10am with an informal Director Q&A session with no set agenda. During this session we will discuss the more debated subjects such as the AGA’s involvement in the international markets and what defines a “grower” director. Growers are welcome to discuss any subject you wish.

A Grower Briefing presented by NZ Avocado staff and the formal AGM proceedings will run from 2.30 to 4.30pm.

NZAIL Annual General Meeting

NZ Avocado Growers’ Association Inc., NZAIL, is wholly owned by NZAGA, and the NZAGA Executive are the shareholders of NZAIL. The NZAIL AGM will be held within the NZAGA AGM. You are invited to attend the NZAIL AGM and the AGM of NZAGA.

The whole day will be available online for those unable to attend in-person.

Guest speaker: Melissa Vining Health and Safety

Melissa Vining MNZM is an experienced executive advisor specialising in Health and Safety, Human Resources, governance and organisational performance. With more than 20 years’ experience, she has worked alongside organisations across local government, transport, infrastructure, agriculture, ports, professional services and other high-risk industries, helping leaders navigate complex workplace challenges with practical, commercially sound solutions. Melissa is recognised for translating legislation and regulatory requirements into strategies that strengthen governance, improve organisational performance and create safer, more engaged workplaces. She has also led and supported organisations through major incidents, organisational change, system redesign and complex workplace investigations.

Known for her authenticity, practical approach and unwavering commitment to making a difference, Melissa believes that great leadership is measured not only by business success, but by the positive impact it leaves on people and communities.

NZAGA Investment, Activities & Outputs

Member Motions

Member Motions are vital to the democratic process within the avocado industry and to the running of the NZAGA. A member motion is a statement submitted for consideration, which can seek change or innovation to current rules and practices within the avocado industry. These can be viewed in the AGM pack below.

Proxy forms can be downloaded below. These must be received by NZAGA by Monday 24 August 2026 by post or by email to the Returning Officer: returning.officer@nzavocado.co.nz

General business

If there are any items of general business you would like discussed at the AGM, please email communications@nzavocado.co.nz before the end of Thursday 14 August 2026. This provides sufficient time to address any specific items in advance and will also help facilitate a timely AGM.
