NZ Avocado is based in central Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty of New Zealand. We are a small team with a lot to offer, thriving against a backdrop of increasing global demand for the amazingly healthy, versatile and trendy super fruit.

Our role is to develop an industry strategy to optimise grower profitability while developing markets by undertaking promotional activities, setting quality and grade standards, undertaking research trials and managing biosecurity and market access for the industry. See staff profiles here.

Business Manager

The Business Manager plays an important role in managing the financials, industry data and technology requirements. The role requires an accounting qualification and excellent analysis skills to understand, review and model current and future growth in current and new opportunities. The Business Manager will play a strong role in the progression of a current IT project to improve the efficiency of data collection and reporting, and the development of an effective CRM.

The Business Manager is responsible for the financial and management accounts for NZ Avocado Grower’s Association and its subsidiary, NZ Avocado Industry Limited, including programmes with external funding. The successful applicant will also manage and maintain data and systems to enable collective reporting of industry performance.
