NZAGA Tapora field day

NZAGA invites members to join us at a autumn field day at Harbour Edge Avocados in Tapora on Tuesday 20th April 2020 from 1.00pm – 3pm at 458 Okahukura Road, Tapora. This is rare opportunity to visit a 100ha + orchard that is rapidly developing in an area of the country with a lot of new avocado planting.
The field day will provide and industry overview and cover key orchard management practices for autumn including:
- Tree health issue diagnosis and actions including phosphonate application for Phytophthora control
- Update on latest root stock trial performance
- Fertiliser use
- Orchard manager Nick Common will be on hand to share Habour Edge’s story thus far and share how they manage activities on a large orchard.
