Field day: Te Puke, 15 October 2024

NZ Avocado invites you to join us at John and Philippa’s orchard to discuss several aspects of orchard management to maximise financial returns. John and Philippa won the top grower award this year for an impressive 4-year average yield of 28.9t/ha from their 2ha property. The Te Puke field day will take place on Tuesday, 15 October 2024 from 10.00am – 12.00pm at John and Philippa Whitehead’s orchard at 250 No2 Rd, Te Puke.

Other topics discussed on the orchard will include:

• Fruit quality and how growers can maximise quality around harvest.
• Nutrient leaching project results and what it means for growers fertiliser plans.

We hope to have a collective discussion on how growers are changing or modifying their orchard management to reduce costs and improve efficiencies on orchard.
