NZ Avocado invites you to join us and representatives from Agri Technovation at a soil moisture management workshop in Whangarei at Garry and Charlene Cliff’s Orchard.
The work shop will cover aspects of soil moisture management including:
- How to understand your soil texture and profile in your orchard, and what this means for soil moisture management.
- How to work out how many mls of irrigation your sprinkler heads should be delivering and how to check your system.
- Different soil moisture monitoring technology, the pros and cons of this technology, including what Agri Technovation offers.
- Latest understanding of how much water avocado trees need. We will discuss what influences this and how can you use this understanding to improve your soil moisture management.
Garry has recently installed some of Agri Technovation’s soil moisture sensors in several blocks on the orchard. Garry will share how he’s managing his soil moisture and how he’s using the new information the new sensors are providing.
