FREENZ Avocado invites you to join us on Ross and Kathy Woods’ orchard to discuss several aspects of orchard management to maximise financial returns. The field day will take place on Friday, 18 October 2024 from 1.00pm – 3.00pm at 118 Crawford Rd, Maungakaramea, Whangarei, Friday 18 October.
Topics discussed on the orchard will include:
- Plant growth regulators (Gibberellin and Paclobutrazol) being trialled on the orchard to improve yield and reduce pruning.
- Fruit quality and how growers can maximise quality around harvest.
- Nutrient leaching project results and what it means for growers fertiliser plans.
We hope to have a collective discussion on how growers are changing or modifying their orchard management to reduce costs and improve efficiencies on orchard.
