FREENZ Avocado invites you to join us at Steve and Sheryl Badger’s orchard 1616 State Highway 14, Maungatapere, Whangarei from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Thursday 19 February.
Avocado growing continues to be challenging and we would like to bring growers together to compare notes and discuss actions that can help. NZ Avocado CEO, Brad Siebert will be present along with Research Manager, Phillip West to answer questions, hear from growers and provide updates on research activity supporting grower outcomes. Updates will be provided on Mirid insect’s impact on yield, fruit quality to reduce in-market losses and research to understand the most profitable production systems for New Zealand conditions. Emphasis will be on management to maximise financial outcomes. Thursday, 19 February 2026 from 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
We hope to have a collective discussion about how growers are managing their orchards to get the most out of the season ahead.
