Field day: Katikati orchard, 17th October 2019

NZ Avocado invites you to join us at Barbara and Wilson McGillivray’s orchard in Katikati, Bay of Plenty.

An industry update will be provided followed by an orchard walk to ask questions of the NZ Avocado team and discuss technical information relevant to this time of year.

Plant and Food Research Scientist Nicola Mauchline will share some of the latest results from her leaf roller mating disruption trial work and NZ Avocado research staff will talk about how crop load management and pollination optimisation can improve the chances of consistently achieving high yields.

Drinks and snacks will be provided towards the end of the field day to provide an opportunity to talk with other growers and continue discussions with the NZ Avocado team.
