NZ Avocado invites you to join us and representatives from Agri Technovation at a soil moisture management workshop in Pukenui at Bruce and Debbie Fullam’s Orchard.

The workshop will cover aspects of soil moisture management including:

• How to understand your soil texture and profile in your orchard, and what this means for soil moisture management.
• How to work out how many mls of irrigation your sprinkler heads should be delivering and how to check your system.
• Different soil moisture monitoring technology, the pros and cons of this technology, including what Agri Technovation offers.
• Latest understanding of how much water avocado trees need. We will discuss what influences this and how can you use this understanding to improve your soil moisture management.

Bruce and Debbie’s orchard is relatively new and soil moisture monitoring has recently been set up on the property by Agri Technovation. Bruce’s day job is in irrigation so come and hear how his knowledge is translating to his own property and how he and Debbie are setting things up.
