AVEC is an incorporated society for all avocado exporters. Under the EMS, exporters are required to
attend 80% of AVEC meetings, including the fortnightly conference calls held during the export
season. The fortnightly calls review and report on topics such as market conditions, fruit quality, flow
plan and crop estimate. AVEC has an independent chair.
