SUMMARY:Katikati coffee morning
DESCRIPTION:NZAGA is launching a pilot series of informal grower coffee mornings in Katikati—a chance to connect with other growers\, swap orchard experiences and talk through local challenges. \nThe concept is: regular\, welcoming catch-ups combining practical topics\, open discussion and occasional guest speakers\, with growers helping shape what comes next. \nOur next topic: “Understanding sprays”\nWith Glenys joining us to share her knowledge and answer your questions. Come along to strengthen your understanding of sprays\, discuss what you’re seeing or considering in your orchard\, and ask Glenys those questions you’ve been wanting answered. \nCome to share your experience\, ask a question or simply hear other perspectives. \nThe pilot is also an opportunity to share your ideas and help test what makes these gatherings useful for growers. Come for the coffee. Stay for the conversation. \nFirst session: Friday 13 November 2026\nTime: 9.30am\nVenue: Chrome Cafe\, 3 Wharawhara Road\, Tahawai 3178\nKeen to join us? Complete the form below to register\, submit a question or suggest a topic for a future coffee morning. \n\n\n \n \n Coffee morning: Katikati\n \n \n Name*PPIN (if applicable)Email*\n \n Any questions or ideas for a future topic?Have your contact details changed?\n \n Yes\, NZ Avocado will update your records.\n PhonePostal address \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n \n State / Province / Region\n \n \n ZIP / Postal Code\n \n \n CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:WAC 2027
DESCRIPTION:Planning for the World Avocado Congress 2027 is now underway. The congress will be hosted and organised by the South African Avocado Growers’ Association (SAAGA)\, the country’s national grower organisation. The programme will feature scientific\, technical\, and commercial sessions\, alongside technical tours that include visits to commercial avocado nurseries\, orchards\, and packhouses—offering attendees valuable practical insights into industry best practices. \nMore details on the congress programme are available on the congress website: wac2027.com \nTo help growers make the most of the long-haul journey\, NZ Avocado has worked with a travel agent to develop a bespoke group travel experience. The comprehensive itinerary includes a Singapore stopover with market visits\, a safari through Chobe\, Hwange\, and Victoria Falls\, and five nights in Cape Town for the Congress. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n WAC27 Comprehensive itinerary (Nov 26)\n 278.04 KB\n \n \n Download\n \n \n \n\n\n\nA WAC lite option is also being offered for those who prefer to focus on the Congress component\, skip the safari\, or wish to build-in independent travel after the event. Both options are designed to give participants the benefit of travelling with a New Zealand industry group. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n WAC27 Lite itinerary (Nov 26)\n 278.04 KB\n \n \n Download\n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe NZ Avocado mailing list will circulate practical travel advice covering visas\, vaccinations\, and what to expect on the ground in South Africa\, along with coordinated options for group hotel bookings and flights. Beyond the official congress programme\, we are also exploring a range of group activities—from sightseeing and cultural experiences to informal networking opportunities—so the trip offers both professional value and a chance to connect with fellow growers. \nGot questions?\nPlease contact Rose (wac@nzavocado.co.nz) for more details or if you have any questions. \nRegistrations are now open and can be completed via the form below.
